Provide safe water in Lobayiri, Bamkpama, Upper West Region

Help to deliver access to safe water to the small community of Lobayiri

Project Safe water borehole for Lobayiri, Bamkpama, Upper West Region

Lobayiri, may only be a small community of 111 but the people who live there are valued equally as much as any larger community as their water needs remain the same when suffering from the effects of water borne diseases, such as spirogyras, bilharzia and cholera.

The water source is the Black Volta and sump holes, that is shared by many wild animals and there is the constant danger of snake bites. Their normal water source is a pond that becomes a sump hole in the dry season. Each return trip to the water supply takes 40mins. Each of the 10 water collectors spend 6 hours a day just collecting unsafe water for the family.

Ghana Outlook would love to provide a safe water supply for the community. Can you help us?
