The latrine used by the Community of Nimbale was in a bad state and Ghana Outlook saw that it was in need of repair during an inspection. The doors had rotten and the pipes that vent the latrine, which prevent flies form escaping, was broken as it had become brittle due to the hot Sun. The water tank also needed some repairs as this provided hand washing facilities.

With a little funding provided by Ghana Outlook, the community were able to make good the latrine, and it is now back to its best, offering privacy and safe use, where hand washing can be carried out after use.
