Water filters
Six community water filters have been provided by Scarborough Cavaliers Rotary Club.
Each community filter is an important aspect of the work of Ghana Outlook. They can be used by schools and communities in desperate areas where there is no safe water top drink. They are seen as a temporary measure before we can fund a water borehole.
The photos show two school using the water filters. Each day, before school, children collect water from the stream and then use the filter to obtain safe water throughout the school day. Once a bore hole has been provided we can move the filters on to another desperate community.
We are grateful that the Rotary club helped finance these important filters which are changing lives every day. Four communities have benefited already from the filter boxes and now have a water borehole. Two more are planned when the funding comes in.
